Spotlight on upcoming events:
Online Catalog Changes: Effective July 21, materials owned by Lakeshores Library System will not be visible in the catalog anymore as the two library systems (Lakeshores and Mid-Wisconsin) begin a separation process. There is no loss of access. All materials will still be available! Librarians will be able to access materials that are not available in our own system through WISCAT (the Wisconsin Catalog).
Saturday Morning Hours: We are now open Saturday mornings again from 10:00 a.m.-Noon!
Medicare Seminars: The library will be hosting a seminar called "Transition Made Simple-Understanding Medicare" given by Kathleen Leitner of Physicians Mutual on Thursdays, September 25, and October 9 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Both presentations will be the same. Please see EVENTS PAGE for more details!
Paws to R.E.A.D.: Reading with dogs is back! Please call or stop by the library to reserve your child's spot on Tuesday, October 14 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Preschool Story Time: We have 7 Story Times planned for this fall and early winter. The first one will be "Superheroes" held on Tuesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. Please see EVENTS PAGE for more themes and dates!
Book Club: Ann Patchett's "State of Wonder" will be discussed on Thursday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m. New members are always welcome! You can request a copy by using our online catalog above, stopping at the library, or by calling us at 583-4325.
Zinio Digital Magazines: Zinio offers digital copies of your favorite magazines. You have access to 100 popular magazine titles with your library card and an email address!! The funding for this service is sponsored by Mid-Wisconsin Federated Library System.
With Zinio, you can read magazines on your computer or mobile device. You must first set up a Zinio Library Account with your library card number and an email address. Your Zinio Library Account allows you access to the MWFLS collection of magazines. The website to access Zinio is www.rbdigital.com/midwisconsinwi/zinio.
Free Wireless Internet access is available at the library!
The Brownsville Library is part of the S.H.A.R.E. (Shared Holding and Resource Exchange) Consortium consisting of 51 libraries in Dodge, Jefferson, Racine, Walworth, and Washington counties. Member library card holders have access to the collections of all member libraries through the online catalog.
