MISSION STATEMENT

The Brownsville Public Library will try to meet the needs of all people of all ages, of various interests and educational backgrounds.

The library will do this by promoting and maintaining the library as a general center for reliable information and by continuing to assemble and preserve the organized collections of library materials to satisfy the needs of all its patrons.

It shall be the function of the library to provide the means through which all people will have free access to the thinking of all sides of all ideas.
